"The Brave Little Toaster," a fully animated feature about a group of household appliances that go out into the cruel world on their own, will be shown Thursday, March 1, in the Cinema in Your Face! Theater as a benefit performance for Lallapalooza, the children's arts project.

"The Brave Little Toaster" was a big hit at the 1988 United States Film Festival in Park City but was never distributed theatrically. The film showed up on the cable Disney Channel for a successful run in mid-1988, but then sank again into oblivion.

Now "The Brave Little Toaster" is being revived on the art house circuit and will begin a Salt Lake run next week, its local theatrical premiere.

Prior to the commercial engagement, the benefit performance for Lallapalooza will show at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the Cinema in Your Face! Theater, 45 W. 300 South. Tickets to this fund-raising event will be $7, with all proceeds going to Lallapalooza.
