Southern California freshman Brian Earley captured his second title in the NCAA Zone E regional diving championships, winning the men's 3-meter crown Saturday.
Earley, who also won the one-meter title Friday, scored 514.55 points in the 3-meter event to qualify in both for the NCAA Championships March 22-24 at Indianapolis.UCLA's Chris Dudka was second Saturday with a score of 510.20, while Terry Griffith of meet host Brigham Young took third, 502.95. Earley, Dudka and Griffith also were the top three divers Friday and all advance to the NCAA meet.
In the separate women's one-meter competition, Arizona State's Janae Lautenschlager produced the winning score of 411.5.
Melisa Kuller of Stanford was second at 396.3 and BYU's Courtney Nelson, winner of Friday's 3-meter diving, took third, 393.5. UCLA's Britt Williams and Amy Matheson of BYU were fourth and fifth.
