Danny White, former all-pro quarterback with the Dallas Cowboys, will be the featured speaker at the Cougar Club Awards Banquet on April 11, at 7 p.m. in the Wilkinson Center Ballroom.
Club members and their guests can obtain tickets for the banquet by contacting the Cougar Club office at 378-2583. Tickets are $12.50 for club members and $15.00 for guests.In addition to the guest speaker, awards will be presented to BYU's outstanding male and female athletes at the banquet. The presentation of the Dale Rex Award, given to the person who has contributed most to amateur athletics in Utah during the past year, will also be made at the banquet.
White, a former All-America football and baseball player at Arizona State, played for 13 years with the Cowboys before retiring last year. He broke the Cowboys' single-season touchdown passing record in his first year as a starter in 1980. He took Dallas to the playoffs five times and led the team to three NFC East titles. The most accurate passer in club history, Danny holds the Cowboys' career marks for completions and touchdown passes.
