Thirteen Brigham Young University employees will receive the President's Appreciation Award, which recognizes BYU staff and administrative personnel for exceptional service, creativity and competence.

The recipients will be honored by President Rex E. Lee at a banquet Tuesday at BYU. The award winners are Diane Adams, manager of Conference Operations for the Division of Auxiliary Services; Glenn Leon Anderson, photo supervisor for Instructional Graphics; David F. Boone, Faculty Support Center supervisor for Religious Education; Helen Grange, university hostess at the Abraham O. Smoot Administration Building Information Desk; Janice H. Gordon, employee supervisor for the Missionary Training Center and Student Health Services; Afton Hill, secretary to assistant deans of the College of Biology and Agriculture; Shirley M. Johnson, secretary for the Department of Educational Psychology; Bob Kellett, supervisor of the Marriott School of Management's Computer Lab;Thomas J. Lefler, supervisor of Creative Development and Coordination of Student Programs, Henry F. W. Meyer, heating and cooling systems technician for seven buildings on campus; Mary Sweat, personal secretary to the assistant dean of Student Life, to the managing director of Student Leadership Development and to the director of Student Leadership Development; Robert C. Taylor, director of the Department of Travel Study; and Donald L. Wood, head of the Physical Facilities Custodial Services Department.
