Calling it "a dream come true" to be named the new Virgina basketball coach, former Cavalier player and assistant Jeff Jones said he would try to build on the success of his predecessor, Terry Holland.

Holland, who compiled a 326-173 in 16 seasons with the Cavaliers, announced last June he was resigning at the end of the season to become athletic director at Davidson, his alma mater.
