Reed Vermont Hansen, 71, passed away peacefully, August 1, 1990, at the home of his granddaughter in West Valley City.
Born July 31, 1919, Bear River, Utah, the son of Matthias and Hattie Iverson Hansen. Married Lucille Ford; later divorced. Married Hermoine Groo, in 1956. She preceded him in death in November 1983. Veteran of World War II. He was a plumber in the civil service arm of the government until his retirement.Survived by a son, Reed Vaughn; three daughters, Janie Lou, Anna Lyse and Mrs. Gordon (Nadene) Gatrell; 12 grandchildren; a sister, LeOra; and three brothers, Seward, Dale and Darel. Preceded in death by two brothers, Milt and Dewey; and two sisters, Naomi and Maxine.
Funeral services will be Saturday, August 4th, 1 p.m., at the Holbrook Funeral Chapel, 3251 So. 2300 East, where friends may call for one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Bear River Cemetery, Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
