The 91-year-old leader of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints underwent surgery Sunday for the second time in five days to remove a blood clot from the left side of his brain. He first underwent surgery Wednesday, Sept. 19, after a CT scan detected fluid collecting on both sides of his brain.The blood clots, 1 to 2 centimeters thick, were pressing on President Benson's brain, causing severe headaches and difficulty in swallowing.
