Elder Stephen D. Nadauld, a member of the Seventy, serves as second counselor in the Young Men general presidency and as second counselor in the North America Southeast Area. He was called as a General Authority last June 1.
Elder Nadauld was born May 31, 1942, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, a son of Sterling D. and Lois Nadauld. He earned a bachelor's degree from BYU, a master's from Harvard and a doctorate from the University of California at Berkeley before beginning a career that would take him alternately from the business world to the world of academia.He has worked as an investment banker on Wall Street, as president of a regional dairy cooperative and chief financial officer of a corporation in the independent power production industry. In education he was a professor of finance and head of the MBA program at BYU and president of Weber State University in Ogden, Utah.
His Church service has included assignments as Scoutmaster, bishop, stake president's counselor and regional representative. He has also portrayed the bishop for the Church's televised worship service on the VISN network.
He and his wife, the former Margaret Dyreng, are parents of seven sons. They are members of the Bountiful 52nd Ward, Bountiful Utah Mueller Park Stake.
