Artist Bev Doolittle, internationally famous for her "camouflage" paintings of wildlife, will be in Salt Lake City on Monday, Nov. 25 to promote the sale of her recent print "Sacred Circle." In this artwork, she brings to life the concept of the interdependency of all living things. Composed of nine separate paintings fused into a single image, the painting features the circle as the symbol of life and nature's eternal cycle.
More than 40,000 people in the U.S. and Canada have purchased this print. In an effort to raise funds for conservation education, Doolittle and her publisher set aside $10 from the sale of each print and donated the money to the two largest non-profit conservation organizations - the National Wildlife Federation (NWF) and the Canadian Wildlife Federation (CWF).In cooperation with Deseret Book Co. and Repartee Gallery, Doolittle will be at Deseret Book in ZCMI Center from noon to 4 p.m. on Nov. 25 to personalize her print "Sacred Circle" as well as her book "The Art of Bev Doolittle." She'll make a second appearance in the spring of '92 at Repartee Gallery, 1400 Foothill Drive.
