Tom Purtzer and Lanny Wadkins shot a 9-under-par 63 in the final-round scramble for a four-stroke victory in the Shark Shootout on Sunday.

Purtzer and Wadkins, who earned $125,000 each from a total purse of $1 million in the 10-team tournament, finished with a 27-under 189 total on the 7,025-yard Sherwood Country Club course. The first round was played with a best-ball format and the second round with an alternate-shot format at Thousand Oaks, Calif.Tournament host Greg Norman and partner Jack Nicklaus closed with a 59 to finish second. Tom Kite and Davis Love finished five strokes back after a 60.
