Salt Lakers, especially kids, are eagerly waiting to welcome the Flintstones, Scooby-Doo and Yogi Bear. These delightful Hanna-Barbera characters have perfected their skating routines and soon will be performing in the all-new Ice Capades at the Delta Center. They will perform every evening from Thursday through Monday, Nov. 14-18. An afternoon performance is set for 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16.

"We're very pleased to welcome the delightful Hanna-Barbera characters to our ice," said Thomas K. Scallen, president of Ice Capades. The program, however, is geared for people of all ages. Adults will be thrilled with the amazing performances by Romania's ice soloist Simone Grigorescu and two-time world professional pair champions Tracey Solomons and Ian Jenkins.

Titled "On Top Of The World," this year's performance will spotlight a number of glittering production numbers by the Ice Capades Skating Ensemble, including a colorful Brazilian carnival and a skating tribute to the big band sound.

Some of the other highlights will be performances by gold medalists Kelly Johnson and Jonathan Thomas, the 1988 world professional ladies skating champion Julie Brault, dynamic Canadian ice athlete David Nickel, Canada's jumping champion Steve Taylor and diver/trampoline performer Don Otto.
