Dave Arslanian, who guided the Weber State University Wildcats to an 8-4 record and a berth in the NCAA Division 1-AA playoffs, was selected "Intermountain Football Coach-of-the-Year" by Universal Athletic Service. The award is voted on by athletic supply representatives from throughout the western United States. It is the second such award honoring a WSU football coach. Former Wildcat and current head coach at Washington State, Mike Price, won the award in 1987. The announcement was made by Tony Stilinovich and Ward Armstrong of Universal Athletic Services.
