Mezzo-soprano Frederica von Stade will be the featured soloist in the fifth biennial Tanner Gift of music concerts, scheduled for Nov. 8 and 9 in the Salt Lake Tabernacle, according to an announcement by Marion D. Hanks, chairman of the Tanner Gift of Music Committee. Joseph Silverstein will conduct.

These traditional concerts unite the Utah Symphony and Mormon Tabernacle Choir in two free performances. They are made possible by an endowment established in 1983 by Obert C. Tanner and Grace A. Tanner.
