Eunice Watson Doxey, much loved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, daughter and good friend left this stage of her eternal progression February 28, 1991.She was born March 5, 1919 to Lloyd R. Watson and Lavon A. Watson in Smithfield, Utah. She married her childhood sweetheart, Tom H. Doxey on June 5, 1942 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She was the proud mother of Jill Smith, Lynne Gutke, Robyn Doxey, Tom Doxey, Susan Snow, and Richard Doxey. She was also the honored grandmother of eighteen grandchildren.

After her children were all in school she enjoyed the challenge of working as an executive secretary for the Salt Lake City Board of Education and later for the Utah State Office of Education. For the past several years, Eunice has served in the Salt Lake Temple with her husband, a calling she truly loved.

Eunice loved life and all the wonderful opportunities for growing and learning that can be part of life for a person with her happy, positive personality. She made service to others a high priority in her daily life. She also enjoyed traveling with her family, gardening, making crocheted and knitted gifts, candy making, cooking, and listening to classical music. She had great respect for her body and as a result she was very interested in exercise and nutrition. One of her favorite activities was swimming at the Deseret Gym; where she made many friends who will miss her. In the last few years of her life she became interested in computers and had spent many happy hours working on her home computer.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 5th, at 12 noon in the Ensign Fourth Ward which is located at Ninth Avenue and `K' Street in Salt Lake City. Friends may call Monday evening at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple from 6 to 8 p.m. The chapel will also be available to pay your respects one hour before the service Tuesday. Burial will be in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
