Larry Silveira and Russ Cochran each made up five shots to reach a playoff, then Silveira birdied the first hole of sudden death Sunday to win the Deposit Guaranty Golf Classic, his first PGA Tour victory.

Silveira, who won $54,000, and Cochran each shot 7-under-par 63s to catch Mike Nicolette with 72-hole totals of 14-under 266. The trio then moved to the par-4 10th hole, where Silveira's second shot stopped eight feet from the pin.
