The Salt Lake Sting ended a four-game losing streak and got their first road win of the season Saturday, scoring two goals in the final six minutes to beat the Penn-Jersey Spirit 2-1 here.

The Sting trailed 1-0 84 minutes into the game when Salt Lake defender Steve Sengelmann picked up a loose ball 25 yards from the Spirit goal and rocketed a shot past the Penn-Jersey goalkeeper. With less than a minute in the game, Sting forward Dzung Tran picked up another loose ball, about 17 yards to the right of the Spirit goal, and hooked a shot into the upper part of the net.

Penn-Jersey's lone goal came with 17 minutes left in the game, after Sting goalkeeper Paul Parkinson tackled Spirit midfielder Paul Duffy inside the Sting penalty area. Duffy then converted the penalty kick.

Salt Lake dominated the offensive action throughout the game, taking 18 shots to Penn-Jersey's eight.

The victory improves Salt Lake's record to 2-7. The Sting now return home, where they are supposed to find out this week if the team will be purchased from the American Professional Soccer League.
