The Richfield Reaper, south-central Utah's weekly newspaper for Sevier, Piute and Wayne counties, has a new home.

After many years at 43 S. Main and several other locations, offices have been relocated to 65 W. Center. The newspaper was sold to Brehm Communications Inc. in December by the Fuellenbach family, which owned the paper since 1934. Mark Fuellenbach, of the third generation of publishers, was retained as publisher.

Fuellenbach also retained the commercial printing department as a separate business at the newspaper's former location on Main Street, naming it Norman Press in honor of his father.

The printing firm is managed by David Madsen, who has been with the Reaper for 11 years and managed the commercial printing department. Several former Reaper employees were also retained by Norman Press.

Brehm Communications, which owns more than 50 newspapers, is involved only in publishing the newspaper.

Joseph Fuellenbach bought the Reaper in 1934, operating it for only six months until his death. His wife, Rula, was publisher until her death in 1957.

Ownership ultimately passed to Norman J. Fuellenbach until his death in 1971 and then to his son, Mark, who sold the newspaper portion of the enterprise in December.

The building the Reaper staff now calls home was extensively renovated, featuring a design exclusively for newspaper production. It has a five-unit press capable of printing additional color and more pages for each section.

Fuellenbach said a public open house is scheduled at the new location Oct. 4.
