The Los Angeles Clippers signed Elmore Spencer - one of their two first-round draft choices - and veteran free agent forward Kiki Vandeweghe on Sunday night, the team said from its training camp.
The team also signed two other free agents - swing man Jaren Jackson and center Tito Horford. As far as Spencer is concerned, the Clippers would only say he signed a multiyear contract. No other terms were announced.
Spencer, a 7-foot-0 center, was the 25th overall selection in the draft in June. He averaged 14.8 points and 7.9 rebounds and made 63.7 percent of his field goal attempts for UNLV as a senior last season.
Vandeweghe, 34, became a free agent after being waived by the New York Knicks in June. He averaged 7.0 points in 14.3 minutes with the Knicks last season.
The Clippers now have 15 players on their roster.
