Max Evans, 61, Manhattan, N.Y., former producer of couture and retail industry trade shows, died Dec. 2, 1992, at Cabrini Medical Center in New York after a brief illness with liver cancer.
He was born in Malad, Idaho. As a boy he moved with his family to Salt Lake City, where he graduated from South High School. He attended the University of Utah for a short time before serving four years in the U.S. Navy. He later graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles.Mr. Evans was fashion director of Esquire Magazine in the late 1970s; more recently, he produced fashion shows for such clients as Yves St. Laurent, Christian Dior and Carolina Herrera.
