Comic actor John Candy is suing a dog trainer he says sold him a sick German shepherd for $19,000.

The lawsuit filed Monday in Superior Court says the dog, named Arras, was sick all the time after Candy got it in Deccember. And the actor has since learned that German shepherds of similar pedigree sell for $1,500 to $4,500, the lawsuit says.Candy bought the dog from Matthew Margolis and his National Institute of Dog Training.

The lawsuit charges fraud and breach of contract and seeks the price of the dog. Margolis and Candy's lawyer, David Cordrey, refused to comment.
