Police on Wednesday continued to hunt for a motel owner they think killed a health inspector he was already on trial for beating up.

Authorities believe Robert Lezelle Courtney, 48, also murdered inspector Cindy Bolte's husband and mother when he burst into the family's home Tuesday.Earlier in the day, jurors continued deliberating charges filed against Courtney in connection with a 1991 attack on Bolte, a 38-year-old county health and safety inspector.

In July 1991, authorities say Courtney gave Bolte two black eyes and kicked her unconscious when she tried to cite Courtney's motel for raw-sewage violations.

Tuesday, Courtney is believed to have killed Bolte as she slept, shooting her sleeping 65-year-old mother, Betty Reed, as well. Detectives also found the body of Bolte's 39-year-old husband, Kenneth, in the home's carport.
