Thomas Alan Horne, 87, died August 31, 1992 in Salt Lake City, Utah after a short illness.
Born June 27, 1905 in Salt Lake City to Thomas Alfred and Emily Eliza Showell Horne. Married Lucille Barton, June 11, 1927, Salt Lake City. Worked since age 13 in the Sheet Metal trade as a mechanic, teacher and later as owner of Bish's Sheet Metal Works. On the Board of Directors of the Associated General Contractors. Served as the first president of the Sheet Metal Contractors Association. Was a long time member of Ft. Douglas Hidden Valley Country Club.Survived by wife, Lucille; son, Thomas B. Horne and wife, Susan; sister, Luciele Darlington, Salt Lake City; four grandchildren, Briony, John, Dayna and Thomas Alan Horne. Preceeded in death by parents, two sisters, Ethel Norton,
Margaret Gudgell, and three brothers, Francis, Ross and Douglas Horne.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 3, 12 noon, at the East Millcreek 7th Ward, 3408 South Celeste Way, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
