A 6 3/4-ton boulder is mounted 35 feet in the air on top of a steel tower - part of the central landmark sculpture being built at the Utah Center in downtown Salt Lake City. The sculpture, titled "Asteroid Landed Softly," was created by Salt Lake architect/artist Kazuo Matsubayashi. Glass to be installed below the boulder will reflect images of the sky and clouds, making the boulder appear to float.
