Albert James "Jim" Sanborn, age 63, passed away December 22, 1993.

He was born May 25, 1930 in Murray, Utah, a son of Albert and Beryl Sanborn. He married Joanna Metcalf November 18, 1949 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Solemnized in the Jordan River LDS Temple January 17, 1987.Worked for Kennecott Copper and retired in 1984. He went to work for Salt Lake County as a school crossing guard. He was an ordinance worker at the Jordan River Temple for four years and served as a High Priest Quorum secretary under the five High Priest Group leaders. Active in Boy Scouting as an advancement chairman and served as a scoutmaster.

Survivors include his wife; son, James Kevin (Yun Hui), El Paso, Texas; daughters, Sherry Bennett (John), and Vicki Worthen; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; sister, Marlene Silotti (Gene); and brother, Richard Sanborn (Bessie), all of Salt Lake City.

Funeral services will be Monday, December 27, 1993, 11 a.m., at Bennion Heights Stake Center, 3045 West Bernina Drive (5820 South). Friends may call Sunday, December 26, from 6-8 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road, and one hour prior to services at the church Monday. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
