Verla Jean Asay Anderson, age 49, died December 23, 1993 in Murray, Utah.

Born November 12, 1944 in Salt Lake City, Utah, daughter of E. Verl and LaVaun Asay. Married Roger Lee Anderson August 23, 1973 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, president, first and second counselor in the Young Womens, stake Relief Society president, ward Relief Society president, visiting teacher, Primary president, and ward music chairperson. She also served an LDS mission in Germany.Survived by husband, Roger; daughters, Kari Lee, Jodi Kay, and Jenny Lyn; son, Michael Roger; sisters, Kaye and husband Robert Holbrook; Sharon and husband Michael Ray; brother, Joseph and wife Arlene Asay; all of Salt Lake City.

She was preceded in death by her father, two sisters, two brothers.

Funeral services will be held Monday, 12 noon, at the Parkway Stake Center, 619 West 5750 South. Friends may call Sunday, 5-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and Monday at the church, 11-11:45 a.m. Interment, Elysian Burial Gardens.
