On Feb. 1, Utah lost a prominent radio figure. Mills Crenshaw was let go from KTKK radio. He was like a family figure to the vast majority of KTKK listeners.
At noon, the veteran of talk radio went on the air and that night was told his services were no longer needed. Crenshaw's audience was told that for financial reasons, they could not afford to pay his salary any longer. The KTKK audience knows that other motives were at work in this despicable decision. Crenshaw was the premier political watchdog of Utah. He was truly relentless when it came to exposing the trash on Capitol Hill. He made many enemies over the years, but in doing so, he made many more friends who are more than grateful for his tireless pursuit for justice and honesty.
There is no doubt that his removal from KTKK was brought on by influential persons who had much to lose because of his probing. Utah is a better place because of Crenshaw and we owe him more than we could ever pay.
