Mary F. Arrington, age 68, passed away April 7, 1993 after a brave and courageous battle with cancer.

Born September 27, 1924 in London, England to John and Ellen Picton Payne. Married John E. Arrington on February 21, 1948 in Berlin, Germany while she was employed by British intelligence and John was in the CIA.Member of the Catholic Church; member of the 49er's Club and former member of the Cottonwood Country Club and Ambassador Club. She was a talented writer and singer and was known for her beautiful singing voice. She was a respected member of the Blessed Sacrament Choir.

She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and a lover of travel, but she loved nothing more than staying home and caring for her family. She will be especially remembered for her British sense of humor.

Survived by husband, son Craig (wife Carole and their four children Michael, William, James and Jeff), daughter Patricia Griffith (husband Doug); brothers John Payne of North Wales, Great Britian and George Payne of Queensland, Australia; sisters Peggy Dyke of Sussex, England and Helen Collard of London, England; many nieces and nephews.

Catholic funeral services will be held Monday, April 12, at 12:00 noon at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, conducted by Father "Bob" Servatius, 3401 So Highland Drive, followed by a graveside committal service. Friends and relatives may call from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
