British stuntman Eddie Kidd jumps over the Great Wall of China on a motorcycle Tuesday before thousands of spectators. After the jump, Kidd raises his helmet in a salute to the crowd. "Maybe I'm going to go and jump a pyramid," Kidd, 33, said after the leap. A Hong Kong stuntman last year jumped the Great Wall, but the Simatai section of the wall that Kidd jumped was steeper and harder to jump. The wall itself is only about 20 feet high but is located on a steep mountain slope that rises behind it. Kidd rode down a takeoff ramp and soared about 30 feet in the air to cross the wall, clearing it with at least 10 feet to spare. Then he landed hard on a second ramp and crashed into a barrier of boxes.
