Not only are there almost three dozen new shows on the four networks this fall, but there are lots of changes on returning series as well.

And that's not counting new nights and/or times. Here's a quick rundown on what to expect from some of your old favorites:

Beverly Hills, 90210: After graduation, most of the "kids" head to college. Kelly and Dylan break up. And new romances are on the horizon for several characters.

Bob: His comic book now canceled, Bob takes over running a greeting card company for its owner, played by Betty White in a recurring role. With the exception of Bob, his TV wife and daughter, all of last season's cast is gone. Jere Burns ("Dear John") is among the additions.

Coach: Hayden and Christine decide to have a baby; Luther may take another coaching job; Christine goes back to work; Kelly finally graduates; and recurring character Howard Burleigh becomes a regular.

Empty Nest: Estelle Getty joins the cast as her "Golden Girls" character, Sophia Petrillo. Harry sells his practice and goes to work at an inner-city clinic run by Marsha Warfield ("Night Court"). Harry also gets involved with Loni Anderson's "Nurses" character, meaning plenty of crossover between the two series. Daughter Emily is gone. Daughter Carol is pregnant, and her boyfriend, Patrick, is being written out after the second episode.

Family Matters: A "bright, beautiful" teenage girl named Myra falls for Urkel.Fresh Prince of Bel Air: Aunt Vivian will now be played by Daphne Maxwell-Reid, who replaces Janet Hubert. Supermodel Tyra joins the cast in the recurring role of a beautiful basketball star at the college Will and Carlton attend.

Full House: At some point, Danny will marry his longtime girlfriend and recent fiancee, Vicky.

Getting By: No real changes in the show, but it's now on NBC after being canceled by ABC.

Good Advice: Teri Garr joins the cast as Shelley Long's sister - and the new receptionist.

Hangin' With Mr. Cooper: Dawnn Lewis (Robin) is out, and Cooper's cousin Geneva (Saundra Quarterman) moves in with her young daughter (Raven-Symone of "Cosby"). And Nell Carter ("Gimme a Break") is the new principal at Cooper's school.

Home Improvement: There's a new "Tool Time" girl and a new boss on the show. With Jill working more, Tim is parenting more. And Jill wants another baby - hopefully a girl - while Tim is happy with just the three boys.

In Living Color: New cast members include Jay Leggett and Ann-Marie Johnson.

In the Heat of the Night: Gillespie, who was dismissed as Sparta's police chief because of his involvement with a black city coun-cil-woman, is named Newman County sheriff. Carl Weathers joins the cast as the new police chief.

I Witness Video: John Forsythe is the new host, replacing Patrick Van Horn.

L.A. Law: The characters of Eli Levison (Alan Rosenberg) and Denise Iannello (Debi Mazar) join the cast from the canceled "Civil Wars," and Alexandra Powers signs on as a fundamentalist Christian lawyer.

Law & Order: Dann Florek and Richard Brooks are both being written out of the series. S. Epatha Merkerson signs on as police Lt. Anita Van Buren, and Clair Kincaid is new district attorney Jill Hennessy.

Love & War: Susan Dey is gone - her character, Wally, will write Jack a Dear John letter. And Annie Potts ("Designing Women") joins the cast as hot-tempered chef Dana Palladino.

Mad About You: John Pankow, who played Cousin Ira in a couple of episodes last season, is now a regular.

Melrose Place: Michael and Jane will go through a nasty divorce; Amanda will set her sights on Jake; and the gay character, Doug, will be allowed to date.

Murphy Brown: Murphy announces that she's cutting back on her workload to spend more time with her son - just as a brash new reporter/anchor (Scott Bakula of "Quantum Leap") joins the "FYI" team and upsets everyone.

New America's Funniest People: The biggest changes here are adding "New" to the title and sitcom kids to the cast.

Nurses: Loni Anderson joins the cast as a difficult administrator and falls in love with Harry on "Empty Nest." Stephanie Hodge and Markus Flanagan have both been dropped from the cast.
