Miss Utah State FairThe 1993 Miss Utah State Fair is 20-year-old Nanette Pearson, Orem. A sophomore at the University of Utah, she is a 1990 graduate of Pleasant Grove High School.

Pearson is the daughter of Barry and Linda Pearson. She performed a classical ballet number as her talent entry.

Among her hobbies, she says she is studying Anasazi Indian culture and is learning how to restore a 1969 Triumph Spitfire automobile.

First attendant is Nichole Bywater, 19, Salt Lake City. She is a 1992 graduate of Taylorsville High School and a sophomore at Salt Lake Community College. Bywater, the daughter of David and Colleen Bywater, performed a dramatic reading in the talent competition.

Second attendant is Jessica Luekenga of Richfield. She's 17 years old and the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Richard Luekenga. She graduated from Richfield High School in 1993 and is attending Utah State University. Her talent was clog dancing.

Third attendant is 19-year-old Maleah Day of Castle Dale, daughter of LaVon and Marianne Day. She graduated from Emery High School in 1992 and is a sophomore at Snow College. Day performed a piano solo, "Etude," by Chopin.
