Recently retired basketball superstar Michael Jordan had no idea just how far some fans will go to show their support. A Chicago scientist wanted to pay tribute to the hometown player by naming something after Jordan. So, when the scientist discovered a new bacterium, he promptly tagged it "Salmonella mjordan" in honor of the Chicago Bulls player, according to the January/February issue of "Health" magazine. The new bacterium was found in the stomach of an infant girl recovering from an upset stomach.
