Mike McCoy of Utah, who passed for 354 yards in the Utes' 34-22 victory over San Diego State, on Monday was named the Western Athletic Conference offensive player of the week.
David Dunn of Fresno State was named special teams player, and defensive honors were shared by Bronzell Miller of Utah and Sean Moran of Colorado
State. McCoy completed 28 of 36 passes, including three touchdown passes, in Saturday's victory.
Dunn set a Fresno State record with 178 yards on six kickoffs as Brigham Young defeated Fresno State 32-30.
Miller had five tackles and three sacks to help the Utes. Moran had six unassisted tackles and one sack as the Rams upset Arizona, 21-16.
Other players nominated for offensive honors were: Preston McConnell, Air Force; John Walsh, BYU; Anthoney Hill, Colorado State; Charlie Jones, Fresno State; Winslow Oliver, New Mexico; Toraino Singleton, UTEP, and Ryan Christopherson, Wyoming.
Defensive honor nominees were: Erik Davis, Air Force; Randy Brock, Brigham Young; Gene Smith, Fresno State; Art Celestine, New Mexico; Larry Davis, UTEP, and John Burrough, Wyoming.
The other special teams nominee was Jason Cooper of Brigham Young.
