Leo Tornow hit the nail on the head in his letter titled "Inaction on Bosnia is sickening" (Forum, Dec. 6).
An Israeli told a friend of mine to see "Schindler's List" when it was playing in Salt Lake City. Then, he said, "think of Bosnia," where genocide is continuing to this day.Two years ago last September, I wrote then-President George Bush about the situation in Bosnia. He was too busy running for re-election and away from the latest European genocide. He and/or his aides failed to respond to my letter. I haven't written President Clinton because he can't make his mind up about Bosnia, either.
While visiting Israel some 10 years ago, I purchased a gold star of David. I wear it on a chain around my neck. It has become a reminder how hate can result in the death of millions of innocent people. If something is not done to stop the Serbian aggressors in Europe, I might have to add a crescent to my chain, as a reminder of the people of Bosnia who were killed for no other reason than they call the creator Allah.
Who next will be victims? No place on Earth is safe from ethnic hate, even Utah.
