The public is invited to sample "A Taste of Provo and Orem" at the annual Christmas open house of the Provo/Orem Chamber of Commerce from noon to 3 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 16, at the County Courthouse.
Restaurants from Provo, Orem and the surrounding communities will provide their favorite food for sampling by the public."A lot of people never take the opportunity to taste food from restaurants that we're certain they would enjoy," said Steve Densley, chamber president. "For Christmas we want to highlight the best food from the best restaurants in the area."
The open house will also give the public a chance to visit the chamber offices and to meet the board of directors.
The 1994 Great Kid Awards will also be presented. The chamber's board and the Business/Education Council have worked with each Orem and Provo elementary school to choose the students. Certificates will be presented to each student along with gifts contributed by local businesses.
