Dean J. Isbell, 80, born September 20, 1914, in Richfield, Utah, to Joseph Clarence and Lillian Jensen Isbell, passed away on December 12, 1994 in Richfield, Utah.

He married Beatrice Moffitt, September 20, 1936. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. She preceded him in death, August 24,1976.He is survived by children, David J. and Ruth Ann Isbell, Centerville, Utah; DeAnn and Kirk Allen, River Heights, Utah; Colleen and Jack Melton, Murray, Utah; Pat and Lynn Williams, Orem, Utah; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; one brother and three sisters, Dick Isbell, Richfield, Utah; Mrs. Kay Hone, Salt Lake City, Utah; Mrs. Ivy Olsen, Henderson, Nevada; Mrs. Lou Trigg, Columbus, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, three brothers, and two sisters, Lin, Kenneth and Mac Isbell, Helen Scovill and Virginia Henrie.

He attended Snow College, received his Bachelor's degree from BYU and his Masters of Education from USU. He taught English, psychology and drama for 41 years and served as counselor at Richfield High School for a number of years. He served as President of Sevier Education Assn. President of the Southern Utah Teacher's Assn., member of Richfield Lions Club since 1939. He received the Lions Master Key and the club's first lifetime membership. He was active in the LDS Church, serving as instructor for the High Priests, Sunday School, and Elders Quorum classes.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 16, 1994 at 12 noon in the Richfield 4th LDS Ward Chapel, 159 North 400 West, Richfield, Utah. Friends may call at Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary in Richfield, Thursday evening from 7-9 p.m. and again on Friday from 10-11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery.
