Evelyn Loretta Ryan Beckstead Wyss, 91, passed away December 10, 1994 in Provo, Utah.
Born January 27, 1903 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Richard and Johanna Elizabeth Erickson Ryan. Later adopted by Gordon O. Beckstead, her stepfather. Married Ernest Albert Wyss on June 29, 1927 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died November 8, 1982. Evelyn loved first, her family, and her grandchildren. She was an active member of the LDS Church. Among her talents were tatting, sewing, canning and gardening. She enjoyed being around people. She had a wonderful sense of humor.Survived by two daughters, Betty Lou Johnston (Jerry R.), of Salt Lake City, Utah; and Eileen Loretta Ogden (DeVon) of Orem; two sisters, Marvel Salter of Orem; and Donna Marshall of Sandy; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, December 17, 1994, 12 noon in the Salt Lake City Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m. at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple.
