Edda Frances Heaton, 72, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 1994 at the Ogden Regional Medical Center, surrounded by those she loved most, her family and friends.

She was born December 15, 1921 in Mapleton, Utah, a daughter of Elmer and LuElla Snow Johnson. She married Gerald Ferron Heaton on June 3, 1940 in Provo, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Edda enjoyed her family and generously shared her time and talents with them. She was an excellent quilter and each of her family enjoyed one or more of her quilts.She was active in her church and served in a variety of positions. She always supported family members in all their activities and never missed a dance review, a football game or other activities of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling to visit family members. She quickly became a friend to all she met. She enjoyed cooking for her family and worked for 14 years for school foods. She loved everyone she met. We all loved her and will miss her dearly.

Surviving are her husband of Clearfield; two sons, Ronald and Marilyn Heaton, Sandy; Paul M. Heaton, St. George; four daughters, Mrs. Steven (Geraldine) Cottrell, Bountiful; Lynda Stevenson, Reno, Nev.; Mrs. Joseph (Bonnie) Stitt, Taylorsville; Mrs. Phillip (Darla) Shoell, South Ogden; 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four step grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Ralph Johnson, Fountain Green, Ut.; Welborne Johnson, Orem; two sisters, Louise Hansen and Merilyn Tuttle, both of Sandy.

She was preceded in death by one sister, two brothers and one granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held Friday, at 10 a.m., at the Clearfield 2nd Ward Chapel, 935 South State St., with Bishop Frank Lombardo officiating
