William Rowdon Stolworthy, 83, of Orem, died Wednesday, December 14, 1994 at the Orem Community Hospital.
He was born April 28, 1911 in Shelly, Idaho, a son of William Dodd and Martha LaVera LufkinStolworthy. He married Sarah Margaret Buttcane June 25, 1940 in the Logan LDS Temple. After completing his Masters degree he taught high school. He and his wife were married 54 1/2 years. He served with his wife in the Texas Houston LDS Mission. He worked 31 years as a temple officiator and sealer. He dedicated many years to his stake patriarch calling and genealogy.He is survived by his wife, Sarah, of Orem; three daughters, Inez and Kenneth Conover, Orem; Sharon and Allen Buskirk, Saratoga, Calif.; Margaret and William Olderog, Blanding; 11 grandchildren; and three sisters, Elaine Clark and Fern White, both of Salt Lake City; and Geniel Robinson, Spanish Fork. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Daun; a son, William Rowdon Jr; a grandchild, and three brothers.
Funeral services under the direction of Walker Sanderson Funeral Home of Orem will be held Monday, December 19, 1994 at 9:30 a.m. in the Cascade 4th Ward LDS Chapel, 1051 East 200 North, Orem. Friends may call Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday one hour prior to the services at the ward chapel. Burial will be in the Grove City Cemetery, Blackfoot, Idaho. The family recommends donations be made in behalf of Mr. Stolworthy to the LDS Family History Center, Salt Lake City, Utah.
