Patricia Murray Hession died December 15, 1994 of cancer.

She was born in Salt Lake City, August 25, 1925 to James F. Murray and Stella E. Jackson. She graduated from Judge Memorial High School in 1942. Married Patrick J. Hession, July 13, 1944 at Our Lady of Lourdes in Salt Lake. They had their 50th Anniversary this past summer.Volunteering was an important part of her adult life from the USO during World War II, Holy Cross Hospital, Veterans Hospital, Salt Lake County Detention Center, and S.M.I.L.E. which she had to give up two years ago due to poor health.

She was a member of the Catholic Womens League serving as president 1969-1971. She was active in the business community when not raising her family retiring in 1970 as program manager of KUTV Channel 2. She was a member of Hidden Valley Country Club Ladies Association.

Survived by her husband; two sons and a daughter, Stephen J., Portland; Dennis P. (Jane), Spokane; and Susan (Paul) Schneller, Salt Lake; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Marguerite R. Sharp, Salt Lake City.

Mass of the Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 670 So. 11th East, where friends may call one-half hour before mass. There will be a vigil service, Sunday, 6 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church followed by recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 p.m. Burial at Mount Calvary Cemetery, `T' Street and 4th Avenue.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Judge Memorial Catholic High School, 650 So. 11th East, SLC, Utah. Funeral directors Neil O'Donnell & Sons.
