The mood changes with the tempo as the Mormon Tabernacle Choir sings arrangements of spiritual and secular carol favorites at a Christmas concert Friday night. The audience enjoyed the beauty of the lights, garlands and poinsettias around the stage and on Temple Square as well as joining in on directed verses of the festive music. The choir is recording Friday and Saturday's concert on CD-ROM, a first for the choir. Both performances are also being videotaped. Saturday's free performance will begin at 7:30. "Christmas With the Mormon Tabernacle Choir" is a popular annual event on Temple Square. Most of the songs performed are available on the choir's Christmas CDs.
