Cecil Grint Chaston passed away peacefully December 16, 1994 in Salt Lake City, Utah after a heart attack. Cecil was a loving husband, father and friend to many people.

He was born October 15, 1929, a son of Albert Victor Chaston and Mary Malcolm Walker and stepson of Alwine Voss. He married Marilyn Pattillo in the Logan Temple, July 11, 1949.He graduated from South High School and served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps. He worked six years for the U.S. Post Office and over 36 years at UNISYS Corporation. Cecil was an active member of the LDS Church and served faithfully in many capacities, such as a stake clerk, stake missionary, High Priest Group Leader, and Scoutmaster. He was active in scouting for approximately 40 years and received many awards for his service including the District Award of Merit and the Silver Beaver Award.

Preceded in death by his son, Glen Robert Chaston. Survived by his wife, Marilyn; his children, David (Marilyn), Joel (Rebecca), Paul, Gary (Diane), Patricia, Kenneth (Liliana), Jeanette (Kenneth Swalberg), Maureen and Robert; and 14 grandchildren.

Funeral services on Tuesday, December 20, at 12 noon, Colonial Hills Ward Chapel, 1455 South 1700 East. Friends may call at the Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary, 2350 East 1300 South, Monday evening 6-8 p.m., and at the ward on Tuesday, 10:45-11:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South St.
