Louis Harry Hagen, 84, died December 15, 1994 in Cedar City, Utah of natural causes.
Born February 12, 1910, in Mammoth, Utah to Harry Ludwig and Mary Davis Hagen.Married Lucile May Kooyman, September 27, 1932 in Los Angeles, Calif.; the marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Moved with his family to Salt Lake City, in 1920 and graduated from East High School there. Upon graduation he took a clerical job with the Union Pacific Railroad, but also spent time building and repairing sand fences in the Mojave Desert for the railroad.
Served a mission to Holland for the LDS Church. Eventually was employed by the U.S. Forest Service as an auditor and accountant, which took him to Panguitch, Jackson Hole, and North Ogden to live. This was his life's work.
Survived by his wife, Lucille; four sons, Donald Larry, Russell Louis, Richard Leigh, Jerold Leslie; and his daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Barker; he has 11 grandchildren.
He was a vigorous High Priest in the LDS Church and also spent many hours in volunteer community service.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 19, 1994 at 12 noon at the Cedar City 8th Ward Chapel under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. friends may call Sunday evening from 6-7 p.m. and Monday morning from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, December 20, 1994 at 11 a.m. at the Ben Lomond Cemetery in North Ogden, Utah.
