Three Salt Lake attorneys in private practice have been nominated to a vacancy on the 3rd District Court bench.
The nominees are: Elizabeth S. Conley, a partner in the Parsons, Behle & Latimer firm; Robert K. Hilder, director of the Chris-ten-sen, Jensen & Powell firm; and Ronald E. Nehring, a partner in the Prince, Yates & Geldzahler firm.The public has until Dec. 27 to comment on the candidates.
Those wishing to make written comment should send letters to Commission Chairman Frank Suitter, Administrative Office of the Courts, 230 S. 500 East, Suite 300, Salt Lake City, UT 84102.
After viewing the comments and conducting any needed investigation, the 3rd District Nominating Commission may remove any name from the list with at least six votes. Any names not removed will be sent on to Gov. Mike Leavitt for consideration.
Leavitt has 30 days to make a selection.
