Robert Froerer Farrell, age 53, beloved son, husband, father, brother, grandpa and uncle, passed away peacefully at his home in Layton of Sunday, December 18, 1994.
He was born August 12, 1941 in Ogden, Utah to George C. and Rhoda Froerer Farrell. He was raised in Riverdale, Utah and Harrisville, Utah. He attended Weber County Schools and graduated from Weber High School.He was in the plumbing trade for 26 years.
He was an Elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a member of the Layton Tri-Oak Ward. He worked in the Boy Scout program and loved being his sons' Webalos Leader. He loved the outdoors and trains.
He married Carolyn Jensen Bergquist on May 22, 1964. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She passed away April 19, 1969.
On October 4, 1971 he married Carolyn Bigelow Elwell. Their marriage was solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple on January 20, 1973.
He is survived by his wife of Layton, Utah; two sons, William L. and wife, Lex Elwell, Laramie, Wyo.; Michael W. and wife, Kim Elwell, Ogden; four grandchildren, Delaney, Wesley and Emma Elwell, Laramie Wyoming; Jaden Elwell, Ogden; his parents of Harrisville; two brothers and two sisters, Donald and wife, Gaylene Farrell, Michael and wife Sherry Farrell, Mary and husband Melvin Sadler, Harrisville; Leanna and husband Dale Brinkerhoff, Farr West; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother Marvin Farrell and a sister, Jana Lee Jones.
Services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Myers Mortuary Chapel, 845 Washington Blvd. with Bishop Kory Larsen of the Layton Tri-Oak Ward officiating. Friends may call at the mortuary on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Interment to Ogden City Cemetery.
