Bob Knight didn't go ballistic. He didn't throw or kick anything. He didn't rant or rave.

He knew it wouldn't have done any good.No. 12 Indiana suffered its worst loss in Knight's 22 years as Hoosiers coach, 106-56 to No. 20 Minnesota in a nationally televised game Sunday.

While showing remarkable restraint, Knight did occasionally wince, slump or put a hand over his eyes.

Indiana hadn't seen anything like it in 89 years, since a 66-12 defeat at Ohio State on March 12, 1905.

"The game was over after about 10 minutes," Knight said. "They did the thinos they are capable of. There are some things that happened early in the game that just eliminated us."

"It isn't how they played today. It's how the team plays from this point on. Anytime you play, you have to learn something . . . I don't know how much of an obstacle we were."
