Zola M. Sandgren died peacefully on July 23, 1994, after a ten year challenge with kidney failure.

She was born on December 17, 1909, to Joseph A. and Anna G. Martin in Provo, Utah. Her husband, Clyde D. Sandgren, preceded her in death in 1989.She is survived by six children: Vivi Ann Sandgren Devenport, Murray; Clyde Dee Sandgren, Jr., Provo; Gene E. Sandgren, Hobble Creek; Kathy Sandgren Young, Springville; Robert M. Sandgren, Provo; and Debbie Sandgren Gagon, Salt Lake City; 23 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Zola Sandgren graduated from Provo High School and Brigham Young University. She was active in drama and music. She taught guitar for many years. Served in many church callings including Young Women's president, Relief Society president and Stake Relief Society president. She was a long-time member of Bon Heur Ladies Club and the New York Book Women's Club.

She shall long be remembered for her devotion to her family and her keen wit and tireless energy.

The family would like to give special recognition and thanks to the staff at the Provo Dialysis Center and the exceptional members of the Edgemont 7th Ward.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 28, at the Edgemont Seventh Ward Chapel located at 555 East 3230 North in Provo. You may visit with family from 10:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at the chapel on Thursday. There will not be a viewing. The funeral services will begin promptly at 12 noon. The burial will be at the Provo City Cemetery under the direction of Berg Mortuary.
