Louise Bessan Swensen, 77, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, returned home to reunite with her Heavenly Parents, her earthly parents and to the waiting arms of her eternal partner, Oswald Lewis Swensen, August 18, 1994, after a lingering illness.Born October 4, 1916 to Lewis and Ottilie Zacher Bessan in Payson, Utah. Married Oswald Lewis Swensen, August 6, 1934 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, February 11, 1953. He preceded her in death November 5, 1968.

Longtime resident of Taylorsville, Utah, (having resided in care centers the last 15 years). Member LDS Church, having served as teacher in Primary and Sunday School. Former employee of Auerbach's Department Store. Talents included sewing, baking, cooking, self-taught on harmonica. Enjoyed traveling with her husband. Deeply loved and was proud of her family.

Survived by four daughters and two sons, Lois (Bert) Trost, Salt Lake City; Afton (Doyle) Hansen, Taylorsville; LouDeene (Dennis) Barlocker, Murray; Colleen (Clifford) Rhoads, Orem; Lewis Swensen, Taylorsville; and Randy (Becky) Swensen, West Jordan. Also surviving are 35 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty (Burnell) Jensen, Springville, Utah; brother, Bill (Hazel) Dunstan, Naperville, Illinois. Also preceded in death by two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 22, 1994, 11 a.m. Taylorsville Stake Center, 4845 So. Woodhaven Dr. (approx 1350 West 4800 So.), Taylorsville, Utah. Friends may call at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State St, Sunday evening 6-8 p.m. and Monday 10-10:45 a.m. at the stake center. Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
