Rebecca Bo Barlow Pierce, age 48, died December 29, 1994, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

She was born to Bowman O. and Helen Rebecca Heeter Barlow in Merkel, Texas on December 2, 1946. Becky attended schools in Vienna, Austria; Baltimore, Maryland; San Marino, Calif.; Abilene, Texas; Alexandria, Virginia; the Maeser School in Provo, and graduated from Provo High Shool. She married DeVan Pierce in 1964. They were later divorced.After marriage Becky made her first home in Orem, and later moved to Salt Lake City. She moved to Lancaster, Pennsylvania, over seven years ago, where she was employed as a sous-chef and specialized in ice carvings.

She was active as a leader in Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts, and she participated in camping activities with the Young Women of the LDS ward where she lived in Salt Lake City. She enjoyed gardening and was a landscape artist. She was taking a course in flower arranging at the time of her death. She was warm and caring in her relationships with people. She also loved animals and always had one or more pets to love and care for.

She is survived by her daughter and two sons, Vanessa Bowman Pierce, South Bend, Indiana; Stephen DeVan Pierce, Gansevoort, New York; and Schad Alvey Pierce, Spokane, Washington; sister, Mrs. William (Susan) Mader, LaVerkin, Utah; father, Bowman O. Barlow and his wife, Ruth Poll Barlow; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother; and brother, Bowman O. Barlow, Jr.

Services will be held on Wednesday, January 4, at 3 p.m. at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 50 West 200 North, Provo, Utah.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Becky's memory to the Primary Children's Medical Center, 100 North Medical Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah, 84113.
