An Iowa man wanted in the murder of a store clerk near his hometown week has been arraigned.

Albert Chidester Jr., 43, who was arrested by West Jordan police Friday for shoplifting, was arraigned Tuesday on a fugitive-from-justice charge.A judge will review his case Feb. 3, but prosecutors expect the man to decide by Wednesday whether he will waive extradition to stand trial.

He is being held in the Salt Lake County Jail.

Iowa police issued an arrest warrant for the man after the Nov. 7 shootings of two Target employees. Gary Mast, 43, of Evanscale, Iowa, was shot to death after arguing with Chidester, who had already shot a security guard.
