Jeffrey R. Mumford, 40, beloved husband, father, son and brother, died Monday, November 20, 1995 at home in Clifton, Idaho after a valiant battle with cancer.
He was born October 30, 1955 in Murray, Utah the son of Gideon Eugene and Betty Jo Pierson Mumford. He grew up in Sandy, Utah on the family dairy farm. Served a mission to Holbrook, Arizona in 1974. He attended BYU. He married Betty Jean Johnson, May 11, 1979 in the Salt Lake Temple. The Mumford family moved to Clifton, Idaho in 1980 to set up a dairy where they still farm. He has been active especially with the youth and has influenced many young people.He is survived by his wife, Betty Jean; and six children, Trent, Travis, Camille, Joshua, Lori and Elisabeth, all Clifton, Idaho; his mother, Betty Jo Mumford, Clifton, Idaho; two sisters and brother, Sherida and Terry Lee, Murray; Ronald and Carol Mumford, and Lisa and Murray Sears, Clifton, Idaho; and grandmother, Hazel Pierson, Sandy. He was preceded in death by his father, Gideon Eugene Mumford.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, Nov. 25, 1995 at 12 noon in the Clifton Ward Chapel with Bishop Lyle Henderson conducting. Friends may call at the Clifton Chapel, Friday evening 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 10-11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Clifton Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Webb Funeral Home.
